m.i.a. - paper planes

m.i.a's paper planes obviously isn't new but considering the use of it in s.l.u., and the fact that it's a straight banger, we'll give respect where respects due....
"no one on the corner has swagger like us/hit me on my banner pre-paid wireless/we pack and deliver like ups trucks....all i wanna do..."

s.l.u. features kanye west, jay-z, and lil wayne not to mention a mia sample as well...

the count and sinden feat. rye rye - hardcore girls

straight fire from the london duo the count and sinden. a little reminiscent of hit me on my beeper.
***bonus***
estelle - pretty please

say what you will about estelle but at least she isn't singing about the same whiny bullshit r&b like all the other females (and males for that matter).

hipsters - the movement we love to hate

doug writes a semi-academic essay commenting on the culture of hipster and it's worth a read although it is a little pretentious. check the article here.
it's interesting though because i would bet that 70% of employees at adbuster are in fact hipsters, but i don't want to get into the irony of that.
another good article sounding off on the hipster movement can be read here. it's titled why the hipster must die: a modest proposal to save new york cool - by christian lorentzen. as with jonathan swift's satirical essay, a modest proposal, lorentzen presents a some what sarcastic solution to save new york from the hipster vacuum.
now fuck off you hipster...

mgmt - justice remix

french duo Gaspard Auge and Xavier de Rosnay bring us a remix of mgmt banger electric feel. the original is better but justice...well...does it justice
fonzworth bentley feat. andre 3000 - everybody
fonzworth bentley's new single "everybody" off his new album entitled c.o.l.o.u.r.s. or cool outrageous lovers of uniquely raw style. What kind of name is that for an album? There is nothing raw about mr. fonzworth bentley... I mean honestly go back to waiting on p.diddy hand and foot like the bitch you are. you sir are whats wrong with the music industry!
anyway.... the video is ok, the beats pretty good but if it wasn't for the king - andre benjamin - this would be getting as much spins as a da band record.
mstrkrft - kill it again and again
